Hey everyone! My name is Nicky and I’m a rising junior at UMass studying Anthropology and Decolonial Studies (a self-constructed BDIC area of study.) When i’m not in class or writing what seems to be an endless number of papers, you can find me on the track or on the trails as the Vice President of UMass Club Running - our university’s club Cross Country and Track & Field program. Additionally, I’m a Student Ambassador for the Commonwealth Honors College were I inform prospective UMass students about CHC and the UMass system writ-large.

At this very moment i’m listening to Paul Baribeau and supposed to be reading Beloved by Toni Morrison for my class later this afternoon; more generally, I love artists like Bob Dylan, Father John Misty, and Drake and love reading authors like James Baldwin, J.D. Salinger, and Zora Neale Hurston. I love a lot of things about UMass. The food is dope, the professors are brilliant, and many people i’ve met here have an unforgettable vibrance and dedication to love, justice, and empathy. Summer is my favorite season and sunflowers are my favorite plant - their colors are adorable and their petals kinda look like they’re smiling at the sun. One weird fact about me is that I have an intense fear of pickles. Also I am a very firm believer in ghosts. I’m so excited to hang out with all of you this summer!
