An Exciting Time at UMass

THE FALL is a very lively time for us in the summer programs office at UMass Amherst. Despite what one may think, there is a lot that goes on between the end of one summer and the beginning of the next. A highlight of our work is meeting with faculty to debrief the previous summer's programs, and to begin planning programs for the coming year.

Just this week we have met with faculty from UMass Amherst's Departments of Communication and Dance. We are talking about some really cool potential pre-college summer offerings for 2016. If you are into media production and media literacy, ballet, modern dance or all of those, keep an eye on our website for some new programs.

We'd also love to hear from you. If you were a UMass summer pre-college student in years past, are there any programs you would have stayed a few more weeks to take? If you are just starting to think about summer programs for 2016, what offerings would you like to see? Last year, there was significant interest in entrepreneurship, and we were able to launch two sections of Entrepreneurship Everywhere, both of which had great enrollment. So drop us a line and let us know!

    Looking forward to 2016!
