Founded in 1870, the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst is one of the oldest and most prestigious agricultural programs in North America. Today, almost 150 years later, Stockbridge is also a leader in sustainability, forming part of UMass's new School of Earth & Sustainability (SES) in partnership with the Departments of Geosciences and Environmental Conservation.

UMass Summer Programs has partnered with faculty from across SES to offer a range of pre-college agricultural programs perfect for the future farmers, business owners and scientists of America (and the world!). Each program offers a blend of lectures and hands-on learning, both outdoors at the UMass Hadley farm and the surrounding Pioneer Valley, and in UMass's state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.
